This newly built house for a family of five was designed by Earthworld Architects in 2006. One of our staff members, who worked for them at the time, was the lead interior designer for the project.

 

The client had Asian and African artefacts which had to be incorporated into the design such as a carved timber antique door from India and various other sculptures.

 

Natural materials have been used throughout the house – timber columns articulated with a lime stone base, exposed timber trusses with a timber ceiling and rammed earth walls with display niches housing the client’s artefacts.
